Lloydminster RCMP arrest wanted man

The Lloydminster RCMP say a man who failed to appear in court has been arrested and is now facing more charges.

On September 1st, police were informed that 27-year-old Luke Dean failed to appear in court on August 31st, 2020 as scheduled. Police and the RCMP General Investigation Section began extensive patrols and learned that Dean was possibly still in Lloydminster. He was later arrested outside a home as he was entering a vehicle, along with an unnamed woman.

Dean is also facing three counts of failure to comply with a release order. During that time, Lloydminster RCMP also charged him with alleged possession of Oxycodone, Hydromorphone and Methaphemtine for the purpose of trafficking.

He is now in police custody and will appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on September 10th, 2020.
