Border City Farmers Market heads back indoors in the Servus Sports Centre

The Border City Farmers Market is returning home inside the Servus Sports Centre, but in a new spot.

The market will now be located in the RE/MAX Field House in the northern section of the centre. The market also has a designated entrance on the west side of the field house. Visitors are encouraged to use the west entrance and avoid entering through the Servus Sports Centre main entrance.

“We’re excited to get back indoors and get out of the elements, especially with fall and winter coming,” says Lorisa Upham with the Border City Farmers Market. “We’re happy to welcome back more of our regular vendors who weren’t able to set up outdoors due to weather conditions.”

The market re-opened in June as part of the Government of Saskatchewan Phase Two of Reopening. Upham says they’ve received a good amount of support from their vendors in the three months since returning in an outdoor setting.

” We’ve had a good number of venders and oftentimes we would run out of space to host the vendors. We had a waitlist for them because we had limited space. We’re happy to have our customers supporting local and supporting the vendors that have endured through it all.”

The market is open from noon to 4 p.m. every Thursday and will be following all Saskatchewan public health guidelines. Upham mentioned they are working on bringing back the Saturday market during the winter.
