Lone active COVID-19 case in the County of Vermilion River recovers

The single active COVID-19 case in the County of Vermilion River has recovered and an additional case in the M.D. of Wainwright was also recovered, according to Alberta Health Services.

One active case remains in the M.D. of Wainwright as of September 2nd. A total of 58 cases have recovered in the area and 14 have recovered in the County of Vermilion River.

The number of active cases in the AHS Central zone has now risen to 36, an increase of four since the last update. There have been 564 cases considered to be recovered in the zone.

Provincially, 130 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded out of over 9,500 tests completed. There are 1,415 active cases in Alberta with 46 people in hospital and nine of those being treated in intensive care. There have been 12,653 recoveries and 242 COVID-related fatalities in the province.
