One active COVID-19 case remains in the M.D. of Wainwright

There remains one active COVID-19 case in the M.D. of Wainwright, according to Alberta Health’s latest data. There have been 58 recoveries and two COVID-19 related deaths in the M.D. All 14 cases in the County of Vermilion River have recovered.

The AHS Central zone is now up to 40 active COVID-19 cases with one person being treated in hospital. A total of 564 cases have recovered in the zone.

Across Alberta, 164 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed out of over 10,700 tests completed. As of September 3rd, 1,433 active cases with 47 people in hospital and nine in intensive care. There have been 12,799 recoveries and 242 deaths in Alberta. The province has processed over one million tests since the onset of the pandemic.
