The North-West region of Saskatchewan, housing Lloydminster, the Battlefords and surrounding areas has seen COVID-19 cases begin to drop again, as the rest of the province sees 21 more in the last day.
According to the September 12th update, cases have dropped to three active confirmed cases in the last day. Two of these cases are in the Lloydminster and district subregion, the other in the Cut-Knife/Wilkie zone. The Battlefords and the St.Walburg/Turtleford zone show none.
Fourteen of the new cases across the province are in the Central East area, five in Saskatoon and two in the South West. Two people are in hospital receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon.
The Saskatchewan Government says 15 of the 21 new cases reported today and 33 of the 83 current active cases are from communal living settings.
In total, 82 cases are considered to be still active out of 1,709 reported since the pandemic began in the province. A total of 1,602 people have recovered.
