Onion Lake RCMP arrest suspect in connection with death of Braden Richard Bull

The Onion Lake RCMP says they’ve arrested a suspect in connection to the death of Braden Richard Bull.

The detachment, along with North Battleford, Prince Albert and Saskatoon RCMP General Investigation Section have been investigating Bull’s death for over eight months.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit North, the North Battleford RCMP Forensic Identification Section and the Saskatchewan RCMP Polygraph Unit also assisted.

As a result of following up on public tips and information, as well as conducting several interviews, the RCMP has charged 24-year-old Vega Bear from Onion Lake with second-degree murder.

Bear was arrested in Edmonton by The North Battleford and Saskatoon RCMP GIS September 21st and was transported to Lloydminster, where he appeared in court on the 22nd.

Onion Lake RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.
