City closing 40th Avenue/36 Street intersection Monday

The City will be closing the intersection of 40th Avenue and 36th Street, starting October 5th.

City and Rusway Construction crews will be rehabilitating the existing culvert that his part of the City’s East Drainage Channel. During this time, 40 Avenue between 31 Street and 41 Street, as well as 36 Street between 41B Avenue and 40 Avenue will all be closed.

Drivers and pedestrians are advised to look out for crews or signage and follow marked traffic when driving, watching for detours.

The city anticipates the work to take about four weeks, weather permitting.
