City of North Battleford opens online service portal

The City of North Battleford has opened an online service request portal, which they will use to also monitor underlying issues.

Now, residents can go online to get help with road or sidewalk issues, submit maintenance requests for utilities, request services like shovelling, trash or tree-trimming and report graffiti or litter. People can upload pictures of their issue and use their map location pin to let city crews know about the location.

People making the report will also be required to provide their contact information should crews need follow up information. The online service will then send the request automatically to the fitting department. The City says the service tracker will optimize service delivery and enable departments to better manage and track work.

With a few years of this portal being open, the City wants to use it to analyze  “hot spots,” using that information to identify underlying issues. Bylaw Enforcement and Fire and Emergency Services requests cannot be made through this portal, they still need to be called.

Several other inquiries are available, that will be listed in categories on the portal.
