Power restored in Lloydminster

Power is back on in all Lloydminster neighbourhoods. Power was restored about 30 minutes ago after people woke up to darkness around 5:30 this morning in the southwest corner of the border city. ATCO Electric spokesman Brent Kobelca tells Goat News there were problems with a major transmission transformer in the city’s substation on 12th street and it took some time to address the issue and restore the system. Kobelca says a large area was without power and there was some complexity putting everything back together and getting the lights back on.
