Chamber of Commerce holding virtual all-candidates forum

Lloydminster residents will be able to hear from local politicians ahead of both the municipal and provincial election.

The Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce has organized two all-candidates forum which will be live streamed through the Chamber’s Facebook page and their website. Moderators will be relaying questions sent in by residents to candidates who will all be in the same location.

The provincial election virtual forum is scheduled for October 15th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Questions can be sent in through a different online survey or by submitting them by email to [email protected].

There are three candidates running in the district of Lloydminster: Colleen Young for the Saskatchewan Party, Colleen Henning for the New Democratic Party and Steve Gessner for the Buffalo Party of Saskatchewan. The election will be held on October 26th.

The municipal election virtual forum will take place on October 19th from 6 to 9 p.m. Residents can send questions for the forum either through an online survey or by submitting them by email to [email protected].

There are currently 18 people running for city council and one running for mayor. The municipal election will be held on November 9th.
