City looking for more feedback on Trails and Sidewalk Master Plan

The City of Lloydminster is asking for residents thoughts on their short, medium and long-term goals for the trails and sidewalks in the city.

An online survey is open from now to November 16th to solidify the trail network gaps, needs assessment and implementation priorities of their draft Trails and Sidewalk Master Plan.

“We received a tremendous amount of feedback from the community and user groups throughout the first phase of the project. By bringing this item back to the public, we can ensure the feedback and the concerns were heard and determine the best course of action to move forward,” said James Rogers, Senior Manager, Capital Infrastructure.

Residents can also take part in two virtual stakeholder workshops on November 3rd and 4th to help identify strengths, weaknesses and gaps in the current network. Residents can RSVP on the same page as the survey.

“It’s imperative the community’s voice is heard when enhancing the available amenities or proposing new infrastructure. It’s the everyday user of these systems who understand the existing positives, negatives and gaps.”

Once the survey period has ended, comments will be considered for the final draft of the plan before being presented to city council at a future Governance and Priorities Committee meeting.
