Positive COVID-19 case confirmed at Rendell Park Elementary School

The Lloydminster Public School Division is advising people that a positive COVID-19 case has been confirmed in someone at Rendell Park Elementary School.

The diagnosis was confirmed by the Saskatchewan Health Authority on November 8th. Contact tracing has been completed, and communication has been shared with the specific classrooms affected, as well as the school community.

To prevent further possible COVID-19 transmission, a few students in R18 Grade 5 and R23 Grade 4 will be moving to online learning from Nov 16th till Nov 18th, and return to regular classes on Nov 19th.

All other students will continue with regular classes after the November Break on Monday, November 16th.

The LPSD is also reminding people to practice health habits like performing the daily health screening, stay home if ill, calling HealthLine 811 if exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, practice proper hand hygiene, maintaining physical distancing as much as possible and wearing a mask when appropriate.

They add they will work to provide more information when available, with the help of school administration and public health.
