Positive Covid-19 case found at Rendell Park School, one classroom to self-isolate

The LPSD says another COVID case has been found at Rendell Park School, requiring a first grade class to self-isolate.

On December 26th, the school division was made aware of the case by the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and that it was impacting a student in Grade One.

As a result of the contact tracing investigation, all students in the grade 1 Room 35 classroom have been identified as close contacts by Public Health and are required to begin immediate self-isolation.

Due to privacy concerns, no other details will be put out, the LPSD says.

All other students and families are reminded to continue following health habits like daily health screenings, stay home if they are sick and call HealthLine 811 if exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

Everyone, the school division adds, should also practice proper hand hygiene, maintain physical distancing as much as possible and wear a mask when appropriate.
