Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show pushed back to 2022

The Lloydminster O.T.S. Heavy Oil Show has been pushed back another year.

The bi-annual event was originally scheduled to take place in 2020 but was postponed to September 2021 due to the pandemic and restrictions on gatherings. The showcase is now being planned to run on September 14 and 15, 2022, returning to its regular two-year rotation.

Chairman John Stanyer says they were hopeful to have the show this year, but the uncertainty of what restrictions will be in place by then lead them to postponing it once again.

“With so much uncertainty around what restrictions will still be in place and with an abundance of concern for the wellbeing of our exhibitors and our community we are not able to proceed with the rescheduled show in 2021. We really look forward to catching up with you in 2022.”

The Lloydminster O.T.S. Heavy Oil Show brings in oil companies from around the world to show off new technology and innovation in heavy oil development and production. The event has been a community mainstay since 1984.
