City replacing traffic signal poles this week

Residents driving through Lloydminster on Highway 16 should expect some interruptions as the city replaces some traffic signal poles.

Work on replacing the poles at the intersections of 55 Street and 50 Avenue, Highway 16 and 47 Avenue and Highway 16 and 56 Avenue is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on January 12th and 13th.

The city isn’t anticipating any road closures, but say pedestrians and motorists may experience some delays. They also ask motorists to slow down when driving in construction zones and obey all signage and barriers.
