LCSD confirms cases of COVID-19 at Ecole St. Thomas

LCSD says two cases of COVID-19 have been found at Ecole St. Thomas.

On January 11, the division was informed by the Saskatchewan Health Authority of a case in the Grade 1B class. Public Health contacted close contacts of the individual. Due to privacy concerns, no other information was shared.

On January 13, another case was found in the Grade 5C class and close contacts were isolated. LCSD says the SHA has determined it is safe to continue classes for the grade.

Students and parents are reminded to continue following provincial health guidelines such as staying home if they are feeling sick and calling HealthLine 811 if someone is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. They are also reminded to practice proper hand hygiene, maintain physical distancing as much as possible and wear a mask.
