Person testing positive for COVID-19 visited Drop-In Centre, other visitors told to self-monitor

The Lloydminster Drop-In Centre says someone testing positive for COVID-19 visited the Centre.

In information from the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Lloydminster Public Health, posted online January 21st by the Centre, they learned that a person testing positive for COVID-19 was there from January 14th to the 20th.

Any other visitors on those days are urged to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 for the next fourteen days. These symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Headache
  • Muscle and/or joint aches and pains
  • Sore throat
  • Chills
  • Runny nose
  • Nasal congestion
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Dizziness
  • Fatigue
  • Nausea/vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Loss of appetite (difficulty feeding for children)
  • Loss of sense of taste or smell
  • Shortness of breath
  • Difficulty breathing

Should these symptoms develop, people are urged to contact HealthLine 811, to be assessed and tested. If people have any other concerns about COVID-19, they can call that number as well.
