Lloydminster RCMP arrest suspect after man stabbed

The Lloydminster RCMP have arrested a man accused of stabbing someone on Sunday night.

On February 21st, around 10:3o PM, police were called about a disturbance at a home on 43 Street and 48 Avenue. There, they found the 51-year-old victim, who had been stabbed in a fight with another man. Officers provided emergency medical attention, and the victim was taken to hospital by EMS.

The suspect had already fled the scene, but was found at another location shortly afterwards.

Joseph Alexis has been arrested and charged with alleged aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and three counts of probation breach.

He remains in custody before a March 1st appearance in Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court.
