Bail hearing set for man accused in stabbing

A man accused of stabbing someone in Lloydminster will be back in court for his bail hearing next week.

Joseph Alexis has a hearing set for March 8 in Lloydminster Saskatchewan Provincial Court.

Alexis was taken into custody after Lloydminster RCMP was called to a fight at a home on 43 Street and 48 Avenue on February 21st. They found a 51-year-old man was stabbed and EMS transported him to hospital.

Police say Alexis fled the area but was found and taken in shortly afterwards.

Alexis is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of probation breach. The allegations against the accused have not been proven in court.
