Lloydminster RCMP arrest four after pulling over stolen vehicle

Three adults and one youth are facing mutliple drug and weapons charges after Lloydminster RCMP stopped a stolen vehicle north of the city.

RCMP members spotted the vehicle and attempted to stop it on February 25th, but the vehicle fled. Police say they were able to find shortly afterwards and the occupants were arrested. A search of the vehicle found large amounts of drugs, guns and other weapons.

Matthew Stanley from Onion Lake was charged with 14 offences including driving while prohibited, possession of a firearm, drug trafficking and possession of controlled substance methamphetamines. The 27-year-old remains in police custody and will appear in Lloydminster Alberta Provincial Court on March 16th.

Twenty-one year old Kashtin Sandfly from Onion Lake and 19-year-old Samuel Kiseyinewakup from Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation face a total of 11 charges each for flight from a peace officer, drug possession, careless use of a firearm and other weapons charges. Both were released and failed to appear in court on March 2nd and a warrants have been issued for their arrests.

A 17-year-old man from Big Island Lake Cree Territory faces five weapons charges, flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a controlled substance. He was released by a Justice of the Peace and has a court appearance scheduled on March 15th in Lloydminster Alberta Provincial Youth Court.
