Battlefords RCMP looking for suspects, stolen vehicle after armed carjacking

Battlefords RCMP are looking for suspects and a vehicle that was stolen during an armed carjacking.

On March 21st, around 9:30 PM, a 911 call came in that armed suspects had stolen a vehicle on the 1200 block of 103rd Street.

Upon speaking to the two victims, officers learned that they were standing outside their running vehicle when they were approached by two men and a woman.

One of the men was allegedly carrying an edged weapon at the time and got in the vehicle. The victims tried to stop the suspects, but the woman pulled out another edged weapon and the second man a firearm, chasing them away before speeding off.

None of the victims were physically hurt in this incident.  The RCMP is asking the public to be on the lookout for a black Hyundai Santa Fe with Saskatchewan Licence plate 980-KTR.

If someone sees this vehicle, they should not approach it as the suspects are believed to still be armed. Instead, call 911 or a local police detachment.
