North Battleford man arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated, property damaged

A North Battleford man has been arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated, after an incident that left some property damaged.

Around 3AM on March 24th, Battlefords RCMP was called about a driver that appeared to be intoxicated. Witnesses stated that he had damaged some property at a business before driving off in a truck.

This information was relayed to other officers on patrol, who were able to pull the truck over on the 1700 block of 100th street in North Battleford. Upon speaking with the driver, they noticed that he had a fully loaded, high magazine assault-style rifle sitting between his legs.

The driver, a 28-year-old man, was arrested without incident. He is currently in custody, and charges are pending in this matter.
