Lloydminster City Council is adding on 15 days before penalties are applied to outstanding property taxes.
Council passed the new Tax Penalty Bylaw on March 22nd.
The new provision (Bylaw No. 06-2021) places the penalty date on the 25th day of the month. The old bylaw applied penalties on the 10th day of the month.
The new penalty dates for current and arrears property taxes are:

The penalty schedule change will allow the City to pivot for budget revisions and the Mill Rate Bylaw.
