Saskatchewan COVID-19 vaccination age to drop to 37

The age limit for the COVID-19 vaccine will be cracking into the 30s tomorrow.

Starting at 8 AM on May 4th, people 37 and older can book their COVID-19 vaccination appointment. In addition to that, all people over the age of 18 in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District can get set up as well.

The new age limits apply to all booked appointments, drive-thru or walk-in shots, along with mobile and pharmacy vaccination as well. People can book an appointment online or by calling 1-833-SASKVAX.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reminding people that demand is still high for these vaccines, and as such, appointments will fill fast, especially in urban centres. While it does remain an option for people to travel outside of their home city or town to have their shot, those people are strongly advised to not make any other stops on the way there or back.

There may be additional clinic options in rural and northern communities, and residents are encouraged to consider those alternate locations for immunization when possible, the SHA notes.

The next mobile clinic in Lloydminster is slated for May 8th, running at the Lloydminster Exhibition Grounds from 9 AM to 4 PM.
