The employment rate on both sides of the Lloydminster border is continuing a positive trend.
In the latest Statistics Canada update, both regions housing Lloydminster saw a significant drop in unemployment over April.
On the Alberta side, the Camrose-Drumheller region unemployment rate was at 7.6 per cent in April, down from 9.1 per cent in March. On the Saskatchewan side, the Prince Albert-Northern Region sat at 6.8 per cent, down from 7.4 per cent in March.
Provincially, Alberta saw a drop as a whole from 10.5 per cent to 9.9. Saskatchewan’s rate stayed static, remaining at 7.8 per cent over the previous two months.
