Saskatchewan vaccine eligibility drops to 23 Friday

Saskatchewan’s lower age limit for vaccines has dropped again, this time to 23 years old.

Starting May 14th at 8AM, all people over that age can set up their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. This applies to all immunization clinics, whether it be booked appointments, pharmacies, drive-thru or walk-ins, or mobile vaccine spots.

People can book their appointment online or over the phone at 1-833-SASKVAX.

Alternatively, they can find details about drive-thru or pharmacies with vaccines available on the Saskatchewan website. No vaccine drive-thrus will be open in Lloydminster Friday, but the site is updated daily.

First dose vaccines are also open for everyone who’s age has already been eligible.

Others who can get vaccinated are individuals 18 years and older living in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, all remaining phase one health care workers, additional front-line workers and first responders.

People with underlying health conditions who are clinically extremely vulnerable will be notified about their vaccine through an eligibility letter.
