The Battlefords RCMP say they’ve arrested a suspect in connection with an assault.
On May 16th, around 1:40 PM, police and EMS were called to a home on the Saulteaux First Nation. There, they found a 28-year-old man with serious injuries, needing to be transported to the hospital. From early investigation, the RCMP determined they needed to call in the Major Crime Unit North.
As a result, the RCMP has arrested 19-year-old Mitchell Night. He is charged with one count of alleged aggravated assault.
He made his first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday, May 17, 2021. He will appear in court via video at 11:00 a.m. on May 19, 2021.
