Saskatchewan adds two more days to Big Game Draw signup because of webpage glitch

The Saskatchewan Government says a website glitch that made it impossible for hunters to sign up for the Big Game Draw is being addressed.

An unplanned outage on May 25th knocked out some areas of the Government of Saskatchewan’s website, making it so that access to the Saskatchewan Big Game Draw and the Canadian Resident White-tail Deer Draw were not available.

To make sure hunting opportunities remain fair, the draws will re-open on May 27th at 8 AM, and stay open until 11:59 PM on May 28th.

Hunters who successfully submitted an application outside of the outage period are unaffected, and already submitted applications can still be during this timeframe.

Aspiring hunters are asked to jump in early, as it will give them time to edit an application or account for any technical issues.

Draw results will be available through residents’ Hunting, Angling and Trapping Licence accounts in mid-June, with the exception of pronghorn, which will be available in mid-July. Hunters should check there, as the province puts this responsibility to not miss their license on them.

Successful applicants can purchase licences through their HAL accounts beginning August 1, 2021. Application fees are not refundable.
