Wainwright will see walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic

A walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be open in Wainwright Thursday.

The Alberta Health Services vaccine clinic will opened at the Fast Track Site, 1805 – 19 Avenue, on June 10th. The hours will be 4:30 PM to  7:30 PM. People will be able to get their first dose and the shot will be the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine.

This offer will be limited time only, the Government says, and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. They encourage everyone born before 2009 to get vaccinated and ask people to bring their Alberta Health Care card if they have one, along with a photo ID.

People will be required to wear a face mask and use a hand sanitiser when visiting the site for their immunization.

Second doses will not be available at this site, or the 19 other walk-ins AHS is opening this week.
