Saskatchewan to honour three war veterans

Saskatchewan’s World War soldiers are being commemorated through the government’s GeoMemorial naming program.

Three First and Second World War veterans who paid the ultimate price for their province, and their country, will be recognized as their names will be attributed to geographic features in Saskatchewan.

The three newly-named soldiers to be commemorated through the program are First Class Private, Lawrence Gordon, for Gordon Lake; Private James Machan, for Machan Island; and Sergeant Pavel Dreveny, for Dreveny Lake.
