With the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, Lloydminster Muslims will celebrate their first in-person, Eid-ul-Adha on Tuesday July 20.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Lloydminster will join with Muslims the worldover in the festival, by greeting each other in-person, wearing festive outfits, exchanging gifts, enjoying special meals and visiting each other’s homes.
The festival which comes about ten weeks after Eid-ul-Fitr, marks the completion of Hajj or the Holy pilgrimage to Mecca.
The service will begin at the Baitul Amaan Mosque in Lloydminster, with prayer from 10 a.m.
