There was a collision involving a semi near North Battleford this week.
In the afternoon of Tuesday, February 23rd, a westbound semi-truck lost control and crossed through the lights at the intersection of Highway 40 and Highway 16 by the Western Development Museum in North Battleford.
The semi-truck swerved left, going through the guardrail, and entering the ditch between the east- and westbound lanes of Highway 16. The semi collided with an SUV, the driver of which was pronounced dead on scene, and the driver of the semi was arrested.
64-year-old, Harry Weiss, of Barrhead, has been charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Vehicle causing Death and one count of Dangerous Operation of a Vehicle Causing Death.
