Battlefords RCMP investigating abduction and assault

The Battlefords RCMP is investigating an abduction and assault in the area early Sunday morning.

It’s believed sometime in the early morning hours on July 25th, a 28-year-old man was beaten and taken from a home on the 700 block of 110th Street in North Battleford, where he was a guest at the time.

The victim was then taken to a rural location south of the Town of Battleford when he was assaulted more and then abandoned. After the suspects had left, the victim found his way to a home in the area, where police and an ambulance were called to help.

The victim was treated in hospital for several injuries, including deep cuts to his arms and back. It’s expected that he will make a full recovery, however.

No suspects have been arrested as of yet, and anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
