Major Crime Unit takes charge in Lloydminster homicide investigation

A man has succumbed to his injuries following an alleged assault near the Legion Ball Park in the vicinity of 44 Street and 42 Avenue, Lloydminster.

At about 3 a.m. on August 14, Lloydminster RCMP, Lloydminster Fire department and AHS crews located the assault victim and took him to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The following day, Trevor Owen Tootoosis, of Paynton, Saskatchewan passed away at hospital.

Alberta RCMP’s Major Crime Unit with assistance from the Forensic Identification Unit, has taken charge of this ongoing investigation.
