City issues last call for property assessment reinspection survey

The City of Lloydminster is issuing a final reminder for people who need to complete a property assessment reinspection survey.

The four neighbourhoods needing the reinspections are Colonial Park, Larson Grove, Southridge and Steele Heights this year. Residents have sixty days to fill out the assessments from when they receive them, and the notices were shipped out starting on June 1st of this year.

Under the rules of the  Lloydminster Charter, anyone who gets one of these notices needs to provide any information necessary so that an assessed value of a property can be completed or for it to be determined if another assessment needs to be done.

Property owners who do not complete the survey will lose the ability to file an assessment complaint for the following year.

If needed, assessment staff could come around to take outdoor photographs of the property and may request an in-person inspection in the future. If they need to come up onto someone’s property, they’ll be wearing proper identification.

People can complete the survey online, over the phone or by mail.  A survey key is required and is located in the top right-hand corner of the survey. Anyone who has questions is asked to email [email protected].
