North Battleford RCMP investigates firearm incident

The alleged firing of a gun at a home in North Battleford is engaging the attention of RCMP.

Yesterday September 1, at 11 a.m., RCMP got a report of a disturbance at a home on Panton Avenue.

When police got to the scene, they found suspected gunshots had been fired inside the home.

A 20-year old man was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries and released.

Police say that unknown suspects fled the location. Officers say a white GMC Envoy SUV with an Alberta licence plate may be involved in the incident.

Officers add that the victim and the people who were reportedly at the home at the time are not cooperating with the investigation.

North Battleford RCMP are asking that anyone with information to call the detachment at 306-446-1720, or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
