SaskEnergy opens Share The Warmth Program applications

SaskEnergy has opened applications for their Share The Warmth program, which seeks to help organizations keeping people out of the cold in the winter.

The initiative offers cash grants to grassroots community teams that provide shelter, food or clothing to people during the winter months. This year, the program has also been extended to mental health initiatives as well.

The program will then provide successful applicants with $1,000. Some larger groups that help more people may receive $2,000. In total, SaskEnergy will provide funding to up to 40 organizations. Grant receipts then should introduce their projects between November 2021 and March 2022.

Applicants have until October 31st to get their documents in and can find related links on the SaskEnergy website.

Since the Share the Warmth Program began operating this way in 2013, SaskEnergy says they’ve supported 240 projects, distributing more than $285,000 in grants throughout the province.
