RCMP release descriptions of three suspects after an early Sunday carjacking

An early Sunday morning carjacking is engaging the attention of Maidstone RCMP as a dark-coloured, four-door pickup truck is reported to have allegedly forced a white car traveling on Highway 3 off the roadway.

On October 10th about 6:30 a.m., Maidstone RCMP were called to the scene of a robbery with a firearm that occurred on Highway 3 in the RM of Britannia in the vicinity of Paradise Hill and Frenchman Butte.

RCMP report the truck allegedly rammed the car rendering it inoperable. A firearm was pointed at the lone driver of the car, who was able to escape on foot without injury.

Immediate police patrols of the area did not locate the truck and police are continuing their search.

Police say there were three people in the truck which will have damage to the right rear bumper with some white paint on it.

Police describe the occupants of the truck as:

  • A man about 5’10” tall, with a slender build, wearing a black bandana over his face and  glasses
  • A woman about 20 years old, having black hair worn in a bun
  • Another woman with blonde/orange shoulder-length hair, wearing jeans and a red plaid shirt.

Police believe a second vehicle is involved. It is described as a tan brown van with a cracked windshield having as many as four occupants. No description of those individuals is available.

Maidstone RCMP and RCMP Forensic Identification Section are continuing to investigate.

Anyone with information about this incident, or having seen the vehicles described, please call Maidstone RCMP at 306-893-4800 or call 310-RCMP.
