Investigators seek public’s help as seriously injured teen is taken to hospital

If anyone saw anything suspicious in the area of Pipestone Creek Road on Onion Lake Cree Nation and Highway 797 between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and noon on Friday, October 8, 2021, investigators would like you to contact them.

This after police found a 17-year old male with serious injuries who had to be taken to hospital.

Onion Lake RCMP got a report on October 8th at about noon of an injured person in a rural area near Pipestone Creek Road.

Given the severity of the matter, Onion Lake officers have called in the RCMP Major Crime Unit-South, who will lead the investigation along with the detachment and the North Battleford Forensic Identification Section.

Investigators say where the victim was found is not the location where he sustained the injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and police will welcome any information, no matter if it seems small.

Residents can call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477, Onion Lake RCMP at 306-344-5550, or 310-RCMP.
