Marc’d Up Tattoos inks a deal for the Lori Craven cause

“Everything that is earned at the tournament goes out to families that have illnesses of any kind now. First it was kids in cancer, but it has grown so much. Our 20th year we have raised about a million dollars for the community.”

Over two decades, the Lori Craven Memorial Tournament has become a staple in the midwest region and as Gerry Maier points out, their contribution has come to help families facing several other illnesses.

The Lori Craven team partnered with Marc’d Up Tattoos last Saturday allowing customers to get some fresh ink while pitching in for the cause.

“The staff and people here at Marc’d Up are just amazing people and for them to donate a Saturday and a whole entire day to the Lori Craven, I hope they understand that it goes back to the community.”

Maier maintains her gratitude for the community support which sees businesses like Marc’d Up Tattoos willing to come on board.

“We used to go and knock door to door to get prizes and we have a silent auction and we have a ball tournament every year in August. The Community has been amazing right from the beginning. It gets so easy now, we just make a phone call and our supporters are just right there for us.”

Organizers say over $8,000 was raised with over 100 people getting tattoos.
