Three people arrested in large bust east of Bonnyville

Bonnyville RCMP have made a major bust.

Police conducted a search at a rural residence east of Bonnyville on Thursday, March 3rd, which resulted in the arrests of a 43-year-old male, and a 43-year-old female, both of Ardmore, as well as a 25-year-old male from Lloydminster. A 14-year-old youth was also present at the residence and was turned over to Child Services at the time of the bust.

The search of the residence and property took 8 hours and revealed weapons, drugs, and money. Marijuana, Hash oil, Marijuana wax, Hash resin, Cocaine, and Psilocybin were confiscated, as well as nearly 100 unidentified tablets and prescription pain medications. The street value of the drugs in addition to the cash that was located at the residence amounted to over $23,000.

Police also seized weapons: firearms, ammunition, a crossbow, brass knuckles, knives, pepper spray, and batons.

The two suspects from Ardmore were awarded cash bail and since released on conditions. They have been charged with a combined 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking; 8 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance; Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000, & Child Endangerment.

Additionally, the man from Ardmore was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Weapons Prohibition.

They are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, March 22nd and the scheduled court date for the Lloydminster man is in April.
