Lloydminster RCMP target gangs over three days leading to numerous arrests

RCMP have arrested 39 individuals, resulting in the execution of 87 outstanding arrest warrants, and laid a multitude of new charges related to ongoing gang activity in Lloydminster.

The police operation conducted between October 25th to 28th,  recovered two stolen vehicles and seized numerous controlled substances including cocaine and methamphetamine. Officers confiscated various weapons including a sawed off shotgun, brass knuckles and a throwing star, as well as stolen property.

Lloydminster RCMP, Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, F Division RCMP Crime Reduction Team, and K Division Air Services combined for the enhanced enforcement in Lloydminster.

Police top brass  have reaffirmed their commitment to reducing gang activity in Lloydminster to foster a safer community. Officials also note that the information gained from within the community allows investigators to get a jump on prolific offenders.

They add if anyone in a gang wants to get help to leave, they may reach out to STR8 UP in northern Saskatchewan at 306-763-3001, STR8 UP in central Saskatchewan at 306-244-1771, or Regina Treaty Status Indian Services in southern Saskatchewan at 306-522-7494.
