New Lloydminster Nissan and Lloyd Ex ink 3-year CPCA finals deal

The next CPCA Finals will see a fresh sponsorship deal as the New Lloydminster Nissan is on board with the Lloydminster Exhibition Association to hold the event from August 17-21, 2022.

The new 3-year contract agreement will see the continued hosting of the Canadian Finals here in Lloydminster.

General Manager at the New Lloydminster Nissan Jeremy Wagner says they were smitten last year when they bought one tarp and they jumped at the opportunity to pitch in when the chance to sponsor the finals came up. They are looking forward to moving the finals to a next level community event.

“Doing a lot more things in the community to promote the finals in the end. Because there’s no; what I’m thinking is no barbecues. You know all kinds of stuff that we can do in the community to really push the finals in the end. So it’s a bigger build up to it.”

As for the champion prize, Wagner says his conversations with the drivers revealed that they have big trucks already and would welcome an SUV to take home.

“They need a family vehicle. All the drivers have families and they need to get around that way. So it fits good with us because that’s what our major business is. It’s the SUV market.”

Organizers noted that the CPCA Finals brings over 15,000 fans together over a five-day period, with some of them coming to the Border City, perhaps days prior to the event to prepare. All this has a positive economic spinoff to the City.

Chair of the CPCA Finals Owen Noble encouraged the community to begin their Summer planning with the next CPCA Finals in mind.

“We invite the community to participate in this exciting and family oriented event and take advantage of the business opportunities by hosting barbecues, special sales events, promotions, decorating their businesses and encouraging staff to put on their boots and kick up their heels.”

Wagner indicated that more details on the celebration build up will be forthcoming.

Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
