Lloydminster generosity packed over 2000 boxes this Christmas 2021

Lloydminster residents packed 2,135 boxes with holiday cheer for Operation Christmas Child this past December. However, that was a small decrease from the previous year’s total of 2,174.

The charity which operates under Samaritan’s Purse Canada is reporting that overall, Alberta residents packed 80,121 shoeboxes, up seven per cent from 2020’s 74,791. Saskatchewan residents packed 21,631 shoeboxes, a four per cent uptick from 2020’s tally of 20,760.

The organization expressed its gratitude and remains open to ongoing generosity to help children. They encourage Alberta and Saskatchewan residents who want to pack more shoeboxes can go online to packabox.samaritanspurse.ca.
