Patching and street improvement contracts approved

ASL Paving has been approved for two street repair programs by Lloydminster City Council.

Council at its March 28th session approved ASL’s Street Improvement program bid of $1,821,835.41 excluding GST with a contingency allowance of 12 per cent in the amount of $218,600, excluding GST.

ASL Paving also got Council’s vote for the 2022 – 2024 Asphalt Patching program for a maximum yearly cost of $500,000 plus applicable taxes.

Street Improvement

Council documents state the Street Improvement program is divided into four major categories and locations as follows:

  • Street Improvements:
    49 Avenue from 36 Street to 38 Street
    49 Avenue from 29 Street to 32 Street
    57A Avenue/31 Street from 29 Street to 57A Avenue
    53 Avenue from 25 Street to 27 Street
    57A Avenue from 25 Street to 27 Street
    51 Avenue from 39 Street to 41 Street
  • Intersection Improvements
    15 Street and 52B Avenue
    23 Street and 56 Avenue
  • Sidewalk Improvements:
    College Park Trail Extension
    Sidewalk Upgrade 53 Avenue from 46 Street to South of 51 Street
    Queen Elizabeth School Crosswalk
  • Lane Improvements:
    Midblock Lane from 29 Street to 31 Street between 50 Avenue Service Road and 51 Avenue.

Construction is expected to begin at the start of May and end September 16th.
