Have a safe Battle of Alberta, Lloydminster RCMP

With the most anticipated playoff series in 31 years starting Wednesday night, the Lloydminster RCMP is wishing all hockey fans a fun but safe Battle of Alberta.

Officials note that many people will be attending bars and restaurants to watch the games. Police are reminding everyone to please plan for a safe ride home if alcohol is consumed.

Ensure you have a designated driver or call a taxi, to prevent being stuck at the end of the night. Officials advise if you are hosting a party, please ensure all guests have a way home after the festivities end.

“This is an exciting time for all hockey fans in Alberta,” says Sgt. Brad Mouland and,”No matter which team a person cheers for, we all hope to have a safe playoff series without any alcohol related traffic collisions.”

Lloydminster RCMP members will be present around various licensed establishments during the playoff season to provide enforcement and education in the area of impaired driving.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
