Marshall resident charged with child pornography offences

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has laid charges against a man from Marshall.

26-year-old, Shane Dale Pattison, was arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation. Pattison had been released on parole in September 2015, after serving a 5-year sentence for a number of child pornography offences.

As a result of an investigation from back in 2010, 4 children were rescued in the US and British Columbia.

On Tuesday, March 22nd, the ICE Unit attended Pattison’s residence to make sure he was complying with his parole conditions, but found him in possession of several prohibited electronic devices.

He has been remanded with parole revoked, and faces new charges of accessing, possessing and distributing child pornography. He will appear in Provincial Court in Saskatoon Friday, April 1st.
