Border Paws looking for a new van

The organization formerly known as the Lloydminster SPCA is on the hunt for a new van for its emergency animal rescue.

Since March this year, “Border Paws Animal Shelter” is the legal handle that the group has been using to better capture the actual role that it plays, according to officials.

The old van was taken in for repairs, but the work was deemed more costly than the actual worth of the vehicle.

The New Lloydminster Nissan is committing $5000 towards a new van and is campaigning for the Animal Shelter as they invite local business to help get Border Paws a new emergency rescue vehicle.

Anyone wishing to pitch in can get a $2500 sponsorship to advertise on the van and New Lloydminster Nissan will put the logos on for free.

More details may be obtained from the New Lloydminster Nissan and as well the Border Paws Animal Shelter, which will be hosting a progress tour of its new building at 5206-63 Street on Wednesday August 24th from 6-8 p.m.

Gerry has lived in Lloydminster since winter 2010. That detail is important as coming from the Caribbean he did not see green grass until May. Now an Alberta/Western Canada resident, you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger proponent of Lloydminster than the news guy that appreciates a healthy dose of rock music and dress code leather. His mantra is focus on one thing and do it well.
