The City of Lloydminster has announced a construction project at the intersection of 80th avenue and Highway 16. Beginning at 1 this afternoon, the traffic lights at the intersection will be removed. The city says that over the next 4 to 6 weeks, crews will be pouring concrete and building the new light structures at the intersection. During the construction, stop signs will be placed where 80th avenue meets highway 16. The city advises motorists to be cautious when driving through the work zone, and to allow extra time for travel.
