Police arrest Myles Sanderson near Rosthern

Saskatchewan stabbing suspect Myles Sanderson has been taken into custody.

The RCMP says he was arrested near Rosthern around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Sanderson has been charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, and breaking and entering in connection to the stabbing deaths of 10 people on Sunday. Eighteen others were injured.

Myles’ brother Damien Sanderson was also found dead in James Smith Cree Nation Monday. He was also facing charges.

Melfort police have called off the Dangerous Persons Alert that was issued on Sunday.
